Chronic Tacos

Chronic Tacos Story:

Randall L. Wyner was tired of having to jump in his car every time he craved a good taco. After a long night out in west Newport Beach, CA left Wyner and friend Daniel A. Biello disgruntled and hungry with no good local Mexican joints to choose from, the idea hit them right in their angry stomachs: Made-to-order Mexican food that was both fast and fresh. It could be something far superior to what the competition was offering. With more than just good food, it could be a place where they would want to hang out too.

Through this idea, along with third-generation recipes they acquired from a close family friend, Chronic Tacos was born.

The doors swung open at the 800-square-foot Newport Beach location just in time for the 2002 annual Newport Beach Fourth of July Celebration, where thousands of locals indulged in generous portions of fresh authentic ingredients for the first time. Music was blasting, food was flowing and the vibe was great, but the demand soon proved too much for that location alone, and it quickly became time for Biello and Wyner to start thinking about bringing their concept to other areas.

One of our favorite places to dine at as a family is our local Las Vegas area Chronic Tacos location.  Chronic Tacos is the one restaurant that both myself, husband, and son can all agree upon as we really enjoy the great array of menu items featured especially since all food is prepared fresh to order.  The fact that all the ingredients are both made from scratch and is high quality is one of the main reasons me and my family enjoy dining on a regular basis at this restaurant establishment.

Chronic Tacos features an extensive menu which offers something for everyone's individual taste. My particular favorite menu item is their chicken burrito that comes with rice and beans that is both filling and satisfying. They also offer a kids menu as well as breakfast items to start off your day.

Children's Claritin Mom Crew Playmaker Playdate

I love this time of year since summer is right around the corner. Now that the kids are out of school, it was the perfect opportunity to plan a fun play date to kick off the start of summer.

I had to try this out for myself as I decided to place my favorite pair of jeans along with a teal blue bath towel in my washing machine. I then added "Purex No Sort for Colors Detergent" and let the washing machine do its magic on my clothes.

The end result was no bleeding color either from my pair of jeans nor from my teal blue bath towel. This laundry breakthrough is awesome as I often am in such a rush to do a load of laundry and don't always have the luxury of spare time to have to go through every piece of colored clothing to make sure it is separated from another. 

Helpful Hint: Please follow this word of advice, wash strongly colored fabrics or new pieces of clothing, especially jeans, separately at least 5 times before doing a mixed color load with "Purex No Sort for Colors Detergent."

‪#‎DisneySide‬ @ Home Celebration

Once upon a time in a place called "Las Vegas", the Mauro family gathered their close friends and
family together at nearby Hills Park to show our #DisneySide. The party was carefully planned weeks
in advance as the very first thing that needed to be done was creating the invitation:

Once it was determined who would be able to come celebrate with us at our #DisneySide @ Home Celebration, it was time to start preparing for the party. We narrowed down the menu to assorted sandwiches, yummy snacks, and cookies and decided on some fun games which this particular one, "101 Dalmatians Guess How Many Candies in the Jar" would sure to be a big hit with the guests:

After counting down the weeks, the big day finally arrived! The Mauro family got up super early on a Saturday morning and gathered all the party items into the car. The final task that needed to be done before heading to Hills Park to set up was picking up the yummy food that we would be serving at the party.

We finally got to the park around 9:30 AM  so we would have plenty of time to set up the party before the first set of guests arrived. My son was such a great helper and he proudly is standing near one of the tables after we had set everything up for the party:

Our first set of guests that arrived at the party were grandma and her partner. The fun part about Disney is that you can be any age and still show your #DisneySide! I took this cute family photo of the three of them together:

Everyone had such a blast playing games and here are some pics of two of the top games that were big hits with the guests:
A guest who correctly guessed the number of Hershey Kisses-83 total inside the "101 Dalmatians Guessing Game" proudly displays his prize which he got to take home the jar with all the yummy chocolates inside: "Way to go"!

I decided to come up with a variation on the popular cake walk game as instead we played the "Disney Walk" which the guests would go around in a circle and step on a popular Disney character. Once the music stopped, whoever stopped on the name of the Disney character that was drawn randomly was the winner! Last but certainly not least, all guests did not leave the party empty handed. Each got to take home a goody bag filled with some special momentos as a reminder of this fun-filled day where they got to spend a couple of hours with friends showing their #DisneySide:
