I had been using lemon juice to clean my sponges prior to discovering Ultra Palmolive Fresh Sponge and although it helped reduce the odor in my sponge, it did not quite clean as well as when I used Ultra Palmolive Fresh Sponge. I like products that have dual benefits and this dishwashing liquid really fits great into my daily cleaning routine. I am so happy to say that it is nice to not have to go through so many sponges so often because of needing to replace them due to odor causing bacteria.
